ABOUT BAYSIDE KYOKUSHIN KARATE
At Bayside Kyokushin Karate dojo we take pride in our dedication to providing powerful and disciplined instruction in the worlds strongest karate, Kyokushin. Our instructors trained and began teaching under the guidance of Australian Kyokushin pioneer Hanshi Eddie Emin, who himself trained and was graded by the legendary founder of Kyokushin, Sosai Mas Oyama. The legacy of Hanshi Eddie's Moorabbin Dojo, which closed in 2024, continues on at Bayside Kyokushin Karate. The dojo remains affiliated with Kyokushin masters from across Australia and Japan, with all instructors holding international grading certificates. Our dojo is closely affiliated with Shihan Lance McInnes of the Bendigo & Central Victorian Kyokushin Karate Centre who has been continuously in Kyokushin for over 50 years. The two dojo regularly come together for training sessions, seminars and gradings.
We aim to empower students through the practice of traditional karate techniques and principles, fitness, strength training and discipline. With strong connections within the martial arts community, Bayside Kyokushin Karate offers a range of karate classes and programs for individuals of all ages and genders, from beginners to advanced levels.
